Sidney Strube 1892-1956 Pen Ink and watercolour drawing "Some Day?" An early 20th.Century Satire on the representation of Women in Parliament. Drawn on artists card. 34.5 by 22 cms. to mounted image.

Born in London the son of a German born wine merchant, Strube studied at St Martin’s School of Art. Encouraged to take up cartooning by the artist, John Hassall. He became one of the most  popular cartoonists of the inter-war period, highly sought after, he was political cartoonist for the 
Daily Express for over 35 years.

An interesting satire on the representation of women in the House of Commons. Dateble to Circa.1920.
